Rates and working together
For well-defined work I charge a fixed price per milestone. For ongoing or exploratory work, an hourly rate with a weekly cap. What a project costs depends on the scope, so that's what we talk through first.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you work as an independent contractor?
- Yes. I work as a self-employed developer and invoice per milestone or per hour. I can also work under your own contractor or master service agreement.
- How do you bill?
- Fixed price per milestone for well-defined work. For ongoing or exploratory work, an hourly rate with a weekly cap, so the bill stays predictable.
- Will you sign an NDA?
- Yes. A mutual NDA before we share anything sensitive is fine, just send the version you use. Working under your own terms is an option too.
- Do you work remotely?
- Remote by default, based in the Netherlands (CET). I work with teams across time zones and can overlap with most of them for part of the day.
- Can I hire you for a short task?
- Yes, from a few days to a project of several months. Larger work I split into milestones, so we can adjust course along the way.
